Stampin' Up! Blendabilities Spot the Mistake!

Good morning - or evening if you're tuning in late!

It's a gorgeous sunny day here in Nottingham, my chores are done for the day, I've made a card and only when i came to blog it did I have a proper 'doh' moment as I have made a whopper of a mistake on my card. Want to see if you can spot it before I tell you?

Stampin_Up_Nottingham

Have you sussed me out? Whilst you're still pondering if you haven't I'll tell you about the card. I KNOW - I'm so irritating aren't I?

I started with a base card in Rich Razzleberry and added a layer in Whisper White with the corners rounded off. The cute lil' birdie is from one of our new Stampin' Up! hostess exclusive sets 'Hello Love'. the dotted line is from Day to Day - I like to mix it up a bit. So all stamped in Black Memento Ink and shaded in with our fabby dabby new Blendabilities pens.

Feeling pleased with myself, Jelly uploaded the photos and...there's the numpty moment!
I've shaded the upside down birdie with the light spot from the wrong side!!!! Not so smug now eh Jelly?

Ah well, just goes to show we all make mistakes!

Stampin' Up! Blendabilities

Ooooooh-eeeeeeeeeh! I'm so excited to tell you that Stampin' Up! will soon be selling their own brand of alcohol ink pens - Blendabilities

I used to be such a fan of colouring in - kind of takes me back to a happy place, lose my thoughts and watch a picture develop in front of me. So it gives me great pleasure to say Jelly and colouring in - we're back in business!!!

Want to see what I made?

Stampin_Up

I've used a mix of Stampin' Up! products here, something new - the Blendabilities, something current - the Flower Shop stamp set and something retiring - the Sweet Essentials stamp set.

The Blendabilities pens I've used are in Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana. I LOVE blending not just the tones within a set but with other colours too. Of course we are also going to be selling Momento ink in Black in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue too as you need this type of ink as it wont bleed with the alcohol inks. I've done my stamping and colouring in on our Whisper White card too - well chuffed I am!

Stampin_Up

I've even coloured in some small Self Adhesive Pearls with a Daffodil Delight Blendabilities pen - bye bye Sharpies! Wondering about the white dots? never just happy to colour in I like to add more so used the White Stampin' Chalk Marker to pretty it up.

Video tutorial coming soon!

I'm happier than a erm, hang on I don't want to be rude here.... I'm happier than a kid in a sweet shop!

I'd love to stay but now I have to go and play with my project Life stash. It doesn't get more exciting than this!

Stampin' Up! Create a Cupcake

OK so is anyone else  GUTTED that Create a Cupcake stamp set is retiring at the end of this month?

What? You didn't know? Where have you been?

Listen, Stampin' Up! are retiring a whole load of products and you only have until the end of this month to get your mitts on them before they are gone for good and they launch a whole new catalogue. So before it's way too late and you're left sobbing into your scrap box, here's a link to everything that's going in my STAMPIN' UP! SHOP

Anyway, being as it's going I thought I'd better get some more use out of it so I re-created a previous card of mine. Now don't go calling me lazy as this is quite a labour intensive card.

Stampin_Up

I had to show you the inside first because I have this theory that if you subscribe or get email feeds etc you'd only see the front and wouldn't find it all that exciting and might not read the whole post! I'm right though aren't I?

See the front just isn't all that awesome.

Stampin_Up

I can't tell you how excited I was when this stamp set became available along with the coordinating Cupcake Builder Punch which thankfully is staying put. It is a fiddly card to make but if you want to have a go and have lots of patience there is a tutorial in my right side bar.

Stampin_up

I'm off to recover now with a cuppa and a browse through the NEW Stampin' Up! catalogue!

Stampin' Up! Wedding Anniversary Invitations

Cor it's been a while. I used to run my own wedding stationery business but as I got more into Stampin' Up! I gave it up but i do still do the odd commission and when my sister asked me to make her Silver Wedding Anniversary Invitations I was more than happy to help. Especially when she told me the theme was to be a Cath Kidston style barbecue party.

I know I'm safe to post them now too as mine arrived in the post yesterday!!

OK - here we go. I've used Coastal Cabana card for the base with a layer of Crumb Cake (who knew!). the wording was all created on my PC and then I used some none Stampin' Up! papers ....don't shoot me for that, I had to match the theme and colours, punched out with our cute Bunting Punch. I sewed them all onto the card and yes I had to replace my sewing machine needle afterwards before adding punched flowers in Coastal Cabana, Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding. Finished off with Self Adhesive Pearls.

Stampin_up

For me there's always going to be something quite pleasing about seeing lots of things the same when they're all finished.

Stampin_Up

So much so that I re-arranged them several times and took LOADS of photos but luckily for you I'm only showing a few angles! Trust me you'd be here all day if I uploaded them all.

Stampin_up

I had a super busy weekend too, I had a stall at the Great Notts Show on Sunday selling my fabric makes. Do you want to see a pic of my stand? Well I have to share it with you anyway!

I had an absolute blast!

Stampin' Up! Hardwood meets Life in the Forest

Ah - ha! As promised a make today without an owl, it does still have a woodland feel to it though as I've used the fox from Life In the Forest stamp set:

Stampin_up_Nottingham

I've used Naturals White card for my base, it's a lovely sturdy card, heavier weight than our other card stock and has a great speckled effect on it too. Next I added a layer of Crumb Cake with Hardwood stamped in Early Espresso.

A few strips of Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape and a sentiment from Perfect Pennants.
Next I stamped the fox in StazOn ink and painted him using an Aqua Brush with Cajun Craze re-inker and a little water.

Added punched flowers and Candy Dots to match. Great with Stampin' Up! that all our products colour coordinate so well. Simples.

Stampin' Up! Owl Punch Notebooks

I promise one day this week I will blog something that doesn't have an owl in the design - or at least I promise to try!

To be fair it's half term here so I can't really craft this week, more about spending time with my fabulous boys and they have a play date arriving any minute now so I'm typing this up fast!

I made these decorated notebook a few weeks ago for a local craft fair, they are in their cello bags so I hope you can see the detail OK:

Stampin_Up

I used a mix of colours from scraps of left over Designer Papers and of course the beautiful Hardwood background stamp. I knew as soon as I saw it in the Stampin' Up! catalogue I would be getting lots of use out of it.

Stampin_Up

I used the Banner punch to make my bunting and yes, yes of course the Owl Builder Punch!
I've been asked for tutorials on a few of my latest makes so please watch this space over the next few days as I will be making them available.

Stampin' Up! Flower Die Owl Cushions

Afternoon, it's been a while. Lot's of different things have been occupying my time of late and I'm hoping to get back to regular blogging and creating too.

My makes for today do use Stampin' Up! product but are some of my fabric creations. I have a bit of a thing for owls as most folks know and have designed and created some owl cushions starting with this one:

Stampin_Up

The Stampin' Up! products used are of course the gorgeous Fun Flowers Die and a button too. I think this is my favourite one so far. Next is a vision in very bright pink and oranges!

Stampin_Up

And last my spotty dotty purple creation. I'm loving working with these colours and it's so fab that I can use my Stampin' Up! ides and buttons on them too.

Stampin_Up

I have been doing a spot of paper crafting too and I even attended Stampin' Up! regional training over the weekend which was an absolute blast.

If you'd like to order or buy one of these cushions, please drop me an email at:
bluejellystampin@sky.com

You can of course also order Stampin' Up! products from me 24/7 by popping by my Stampin' Up! Shop.

Stampin' Up! Owl builder Punch

Cor where did the weekend go? Hope it was lovely and sunny where you were, we had beautiful weather and had some great family time. I've been crafting like a mad woman for the last two days though, obviously I've not spent enough time in the room of craft recently and I'm trying to make up for it now with making lots and lots.

So today's share features one of my favourite products, the Owl Builder Punch:

Stampin_Up

I've made these owl get well tissue boxes before and if you'd like to make them too, visit my friend Jo's blog where you can buy the tutorial. My colour combo is Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Coastal Cabana. I've used a mix of current and some retired designer Series papers - I can always find a way to use up the scraps and leftovers!

The sentiment is from Tag It, punched out with the Large Oval Punch.

Stampin_Up

It's reminded me how much |I love making lots of things the same - I love seeing them once my production line has finished. Odd how I don't feel the same way about house work or washing up etc!

If you'd like to order any of these products you can shop online 24/7 at my Stampin' Up! Online Shop

More tomorrow, I'm going to a lovely crafty social in the afternoon too, so will take my camera and share some photos on Thursday.

Stampin' Up! Undefined in Get Stamping Issue 8

Hello and a very Happy Easter to you. I'm back from a Jelly Family holiday in Spain, relaxed and ready to get creating again!

Today I can share with you another magazine commission that was published whilst I was away, it's in Issue 8 of Get Stamping by Practical Publishing. I was asked to use the Undefined stamp carving kit by Stampin' Up! and to create cards with a general Birthday theme in red, pink and purple:

Stampin_Up_Nottingham

I had already carved the image of my little boys having a cuddle and decided they'd work in this colour combination so set about designing a few more images to go with them. Starting with this balloon which I designed to fit inside the Stampin' Up! Postage Stamp Punch.

Stampin_Up_UK

All the sentiments are from Remembering your Birthday and the card bases are Baked Brown Sugar. on the next card I cut the balloons out and added strings so my boys are holding them.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

Next a hand carved cupcake, I wasn't too sure about this one if I'm honest!

Stampin_Up

My final card with all three carved stamps together.

Stampin_Up

Here they are all together.

Stampin_Up_Undefined

Hope you like!
I'm off to cook a ma-hoosive family dinner now and then I imagine I'll be stuffing my face with chocolate - if the boys will let me raid their stash!!!

Stampin' Up! using up the old stash

Ha - bet you thought I'd disappeared didn't you? Nope just being playing nurse Rogers again. This time to Zac who came down with slapped cheek syndrome (Parvo Virus). We first thought he may have scarlet fever as it's doing the rounds here but after a few phone calls over the weekend and then a trip to our GP, his diagnosis was confirmed. I never knew slapped cheek meant a rash over most of the body, but he's doing much better and has returned to school today - hopefully he'll last the day!

So today I'm going to share with you some magnets I made for a shelf I have in our local craft shop. they feature the Owl Builder Punch and the design is courtesy of my friend Jo.

I've used up lots of retired Stampin' Up! papers here as I like to put my stash to good use.

Stampin_Up

I made the tags using our fabulous new Tag Topper Punches, LOVE them.

Fingers crossed I get a bit of me time to do some crafty catching up now.

Stampin' Up! See Ya later Meets Petite Petals

Day one of half term and I'm still here! We had a fab family day yesterday and got up nice and early to get into the city centre to go and see the Lego Movie in 3D. I think there's a chance The Spark and I enjoyed it more than the boys, if you love Lego you'll love this film. So onto the crafting 'cos that's why you visit....

I got to play with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set See Ya later and mixed it up with Petite petals, Flower Shop and Summer Silhouettes. Who says you have to stick to one stamp set? Here's how it turned out:

Stampin_Up

I've used Baked Brown Sugar for the base and other colours Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum. I wrapped the Bermuda Bay Taffeta ribbon around the card layer, making three loops round two fingers before tying a knot - then you can can snip to create all the different lengths. Colour the image with Markers and stamp onto Whisper White card and die cut with a Labels Collection Framelit. I stuck that down with Dimensionals so it didn't scrunch up over all that ribbon!.

Next I stamped and punched my flowers and the leaf stem from Summer Silhouettes, all finished with some Candy Dots. I'm loving these colours together. Must make a note of them on the back of my Colour Coach.

Stampin_Up

I took a few photos of the boys and The Spark whilst we at the cinema, obviously they are a little dark because that's how it is in the cinema:

The boys were thrilled there was a Lego stand and a competition to join in with. Don't they look total dudes in their 3D glasses? Oh and can you see how handy the Stampin' Up! Chevron Bags came in for sharing out the popcorn? Didn't feel the need to decorate them, just put them to good use!

Back tomorrow with more.

Stampin' Up! Tag Topper Meets Upcycling Project

Wow I officially deem myself a technological genius - that's thanks to all the videos I watched on You Tube and also the help I got on the Microsoft forum. I have now successfully retrieved my hard drive from my broken PC and installed it to my new one without losing a single file. So much more than switching it off and switching it back on again......

So my mum in law asked me to make her some simple ' use for any occasion' gift tags and I thought what a great excuse to use our new Scallop Tag Topper Punch. Here you go:

Stampin_Up

I made 10 tags from one sheet of Crumb Cake card. Not bad going and so easy to do too. How much do you WANT the new Gold Bakers Twine?? Carrying on the gold theme, I added a little Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape across the edges and then rounded them off using the Envelope Punch Board.  They still seemed a little too plain for me so I embossed a gold star on each of them too from Perfect Pennants stamp set.

Stampin_Up

I decided I needed to put the tags in something and rather than a cello bag I thought I'd make a box but needed a sheet of 12x12 card and I've run out of Crumb Cake - I know - emergency or what? So I've up cycled a piece of card that came out of one of my Stampin' Up! kits, you know the ones at the back of the pack to hold it all flat? It's the same colour as Crumb Cake but a little thicker.

Stampin_Up

I hope she likes them. Tomorrow is looking exciting and I'll make sure I have my camera with me, I'm off on another school trip. This time Zac and his classmates are off to Make It Discovery Centre and I believe we are having a science day. So if I don't blog tomorrow night you can safely assume that ninety 6 and 7 years old blew me up in an experiment that went very wrong.
